BLUEWAVE® is a globally certified sustainable plastic solution. It is a thermoplastic material, made from 100% recycled ocean bound plastic, marine plastic and recycled post-consumer plastic, collected predominantly from four of the most polluting rivers in the world. Without our invention, this plastic would otherwise end up in our oceans.
This combination of materials is then sorted and separated, shredded, transported, and prepared as a raw material suitable for making BLUEWAVE® products. Similarly, at the end of their lifespan, it is straightforward to collect and then remake BLUEWAVE® products through state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, without the need for any new, virgin materials.
Every year, approximately 8 million tonnes of virgin plastic waste enter our oceans. Unless we take collective action, this waste will stay there polluting our health and biodiversity. Governments and intergovernmental agencies, such as the UN, have been making moves to outlaw single use virgin plastic in favour of recycled and recyclable options that prevent waste from entering the ocean and reduce our reliance on oil.
At Arch & Hook, we use BLUEWAVE®: a thermoplastic material, made from 100% recycled ocean bound plastic, marine plastic and recycled post-consumer plastic, collected predominantly from four of the most polluting rivers in the world. Without our invention, this plastic waste would otherwise end up in our oceans.
Arch & Hook is a certified sustainable company. Products certified to the Global Recycled Standard contain recycled material that has been independently verified at each stage of the supply chain, from the source to the final product. In addition, certified organizations have met social, environmental, and chemical requirements at each stage of the supply chain.
Archwey is the holding company for leading material innovation companies Arch & Hook, PlasticBean and Shieldler, reshaping the world’s building blocks. At Archwey, we are the driving force behind the elimination of virgin plastics in retail, fashion, hospitality, healthcare, pharma, consumer goods and global manufacturing.
